The ambitious project of creating a large museum complex nears its completion and allows to include the city in the circuit of the most important art centres in Europe. The Royal Palace, the Royal Armoury, the Archaeological Museum and the Savoy Gallery are all connected in a single system, which is located in the courtly centre of Turin and can be visited with a single ticket. The world’s oldest Egyptian Museum opens to the public a new underground space with a fascinating and spectacular temporary exhibition: a “must-see” selection of over one thousand artefacts, from the Museum’s collections. The new Hypogeum, created within the historic building that has always been home to the Turin’s Egyptian Museum, represents the first visible stage of a restoration enterprise began about 5 years ago. By the Expo 2015, this 1,000 square meters exhibition space will host the museum ticket office, bookshop and didactics services.
